Hello, my name is Jason Nass, and I am the owner and primary smith at MacTalis Ironworks. I have spent most of the last 15 years at the anvil in one form or another. Originally I began working as a bladesmith, working mostly in patternwelded steels, but as time has marched on, I have taken more and more interest in the ornamental disciplines of forge work.
Often times, I collaborate with Ken Kotnik at Railing Crafters Ltd. in Painesville, Ohio creating fine wrought iron style gates, railings and fences. I also can often be found at many of the region's medieval and rennaissance craft events...
